The Seizure

The RCMP says the Pictou County Integrated Street Crime Enforcement Unit learned that drugs, including fentanyl, were bought on the dark web and shipped to an address in Pictou County, and that officers from the unit, the RCMP Atlantic Border Integrity Unit, RCMP Police Dog Services and New Glasgow Police intercepted packages containing fentanyl and methamphetamine.

Police say that on October 27 investigators searched a residence on Walkerville Rd. and seized six replica firearms, two sets of body armour, 3D-printed firearm parts, a 3D printer used to create the firearm parts, Canadian currency, and fentanyl and methamphetamine. They describe the drug quantity as over 130 grams of substances that tested presumptively positive for fentanyl and methamphetamine, and say Health Canada will conduct further testing to confirm these results.
