One Dead in Targeted Shooting in Kitchener Neighborhood
A 32-year-old Kitchener man is deceased following a fatal shooting in the Country Hills neighbourhood Monday night, an incident police describe as targeted with potential connections to organized crime.

The Waterloo Regional Police Service (WRPS) responded to multiple reports of gunshots in the area of Century Hill Drive and Country Hill Drive at approximately 10:00 p.m. Upon arrival, officers located a male victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Investigation Update
The WRPS Major Crime Unit has assumed control of the investigation. As part of the ongoing scene examination, Century Hill Drive is closed between Old Country Drive and Bleams Road.
Photographs from the location show a white SUV, which had collided with a tree in a residential front yard. The driver’s side door was covered with a protective tarp.
Century Hill Drive is currently closed between Old Country Drive and Bleams Road as police continue their investigation at the scene.
