MONTRÉAL — Major crime detectives from the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM) Section des incendies criminels have opened an arson investigation after an incendiary device was hurled at the front door of a residential unit in Anjou.

The targeted attack occurred during the early morning hours of Wednesday, August 5, 2026. Suspects approached the multi-unit building and deployed an incendiary object directly against the main entry door before fleeing into the surrounding residential sector.

Arson Squad Recovers Incendiary Traces
