Niagara Regional Police say initial information is that a white Volkswagen Touareg was used to hit the front of a Welland jewelry store on Monday afternoon. Two male suspects, described as wearing masks, could not get in and fled in a black Audi Q7. No injuries were reported.

Niagara Regional Police say a search of a residence and a vehicle in Niagara Falls resulted in the seizure of 811.3 grams of suspected methamphetamine, 710.1 grams of suspected cocaine and 540.9 grams of suspected fentanyl. Anthony Cristobal, 30, faces seven counts by a tally of the listed charges.

Niagara police say officers who responded to an unknown 911 call on Ferry Street in Niagara Falls on June 14 seized a discarded Glock handgun loaded with 15 rounds. Patrick Gagnon, 49, is charged with six counts after a later residence search in which a starter revolver was seized. He remains in custody.
