The BC Provincial Extortion Task Force said Friday that the BC Prosecution Service has approved charges against 22-year-old Pardeep Singh and 22-year-old Saveer Khan over two shootings in Surrey, British Columbia, in October 2025. The force says each man faces one count of reckless discharge of a firearm in relation to an October 12, 2025 incident and one count in relation to an October 16, 2025 incident. The first was shots fired at a residence in the 13000-block of 103A Avenue, where a female victim sustained injuries, the release says; the second was shots fired at a café in the 8400-block of 120 Street, which was closed at the time, with two employees inside who were not injured. The task force says the two were arrested in Surrey on November 1, 2026, and that both remain in custody.

The Two Counts Against Each Man

The BC RCMP release says the BC Prosecution Service approved one count each of reckless discharge of a firearm in relation to the October 12, 2025 incident, and one count each of reckless discharge of a firearm in relation to the October 16, 2025 incident, against Singh and Khan.

The Surrey Now-Leader, which reported the charges the same day, also words them as one count of reckless discharge of a firearm for each shooting against each man.

What the Force Says About the Two Shootings

On the October 12, 2025 incident, the release says shots were fired at a residence in the 13000-block of 103A Avenue in Surrey and that, as a result, a female victim sustained injuries.

On the October 16, 2025 incident, the release says police responded to shots fired at a café in the 8400-block of 120 Street. It says that although the business was closed at the time, two employees were inside but were not injured. The Surrey Now-Leader reports that the café was shot at three times in 2025 — on July 10, August 7 and October 16 — with staff present but not injured each time, and that police described the shootings as extortion-related.

The Task Force

The release says the BC Provincial Extortion Task Force is led by the BC RCMP and was established in September 2025, and that its members include the Abbotsford Police Department, CFSEU-BC, the Delta Police Department, Metro Vancouver Transit Police, the Surrey Police Service and the Canada Border Services Agency. It says the task force assumed conduct of both investigations after potential linkages between the incidents were identified, has secured 28 charges against 14 individuals, and has supported Langley RCMP’s E-PURSUANCE project.

Chief Superintendent Duncan Pound, Lower Mainland District Operations Officer and Assistant District Commander, is quoted in the release saying: “These charges should serve as another clear message to those involved in extortion related violence.”
