The Kamloops RCMP say the Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit of British Columbia’s Uniform Gang Enforcement Team partnered up with the detachment’s Proactive Enforcement Team for a joint initiative between September 23 and September 27, 2026 in Kamloops and Tk’emlúps te Secwépemc, targeting crime, alleged gang activity, drug trafficking and prolific offenders. The force says a total of 32 files were created and 25 people were arrested over the course of the five days, that 11 drug files were created, and that 22 weapons and a loaded firearm were seized, along with drugs and cash it describes as significant quantities. One man was arrested on a Canada Wide Warrant and several other warrants were executed. The release names no accused, publishes no age, lists no charge, does not say whether anyone remains in custody, does not describe the loaded firearm and gives no weight or dollar figure for the drugs or the cash. It names no criminal organization, street gang or outlaw motorcycle club, referring only to alleged gang activity.

The Five Days of Enforcement

According to the release, the two teams partnered on a joint initiative aimed at disrupting crime, alleged gang activity, drug trafficking and prolific offenders in Kamloops and Tk’emlúps te Secwépemc. The force dates the operation to September 23 through September 27, 2026 and published the results on October 7, 2026 — the release carries the file reference 2026-PSA_UGET.

The results the force publishes are counts rather than cases. Thirty-two files were created. Twenty-five people were arrested across the five days. Eleven of the files are drug files. One man was arrested on a Canada Wide Warrant, and the release says several other warrants were executed without saying how many or for what.

The Twenty-Two Weapons and the Loaded Firearm

The release says 22 weapons were seized and lists the types without giving a count for any of them: brass knuckles, Airsoft guns, batons, bear spray, axes and knives. Separately, it reports one loaded firearm seized. It does not give the firearm’s make, model or calibre, does not say whether it is restricted or prohibited, and does not say where or from whom it was taken. Nothing in the release ties the firearm to any of the 22 weapons on the list, and nothing in it says any person arrested was under a firearms prohibition or a court order.

The Quotation

Superintendent Pelley, Officer in Charge of the Kamloops RCMP Detachment, whose first name the release does not give, is the only person quoted. “We continue to focus on disrupting crime, drug trafficking and prolific offenders,” the Superintendent is quoted as saying, and “This joint initiative highlights our ongoing efforts to community safety through proactive and targeted policing.” The second sentence is reproduced here as the release words it.

The release closes by saying the Kamloops RCMP Detachment and its Proactive Enforcement Team would like to thank CFSEU-BC’s Uniform Gang Enforcement Team for their assistance with the investigations and safe outcomes.

Nobody is named as an accused in this release and no charge is listed, so there is no accused to identify and nothing here has been tested in court; anyone later charged is presumed innocent until proven guilty. Every assertion above is the Kamloops RCMP’s. No gang, outlaw motorcycle club, crime family, syndicate or cartel label is used, because the release uses none. The release mentions no publication ban.
