The video release

It opens with a resident watering their front lawn in broad daylight before a grey, four-door SUV pulls up to a dead end with its front passenger door already open. The rear passenger door swings wide, and a suspect sprints down the street clutching what appears to be a handgun. After he discharges the weapon off-camera, the driver of the SUV throws the vehicle into reverse and speeds backward down the street to extract the shooter and escape.
No injuries were reported at the scene, though responding officers recovered a firearm in the area of Royal York Road and The Queensway shortly after the gunfire.
