MISSISSAUGA — Peel Regional Police 12 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau major crime officers have launched an urgent manhunt across the Greater Toronto Area following a pre-dawn stabbing that left a man hospitalized with multiple puncture wounds.

The investigation tracks back to an altercation inside a commercial establishment near Dixie Road and Aimoco Boulevard in eastern Mississauga. Police have unsealed a public suspect profile for 34-year-old Gregory Darling of Brampton, warning the public that the suspect is considered armed and dangerous.

Emergency dispatch operators received multiple 911 reports shortly after 1:40 a.m. on Saturday, August 1, 2026, detailing an active assault in progress inside a commercial complex at Dixie Road and Aimoco Boulevard.

Arriving 12 Division patrol teams located an adult male victim suffering from severe, multi-entry stabbing trauma. First responders provided field stabilization before rushing the victim to a regional trauma unit, where he remains in stable condition. The suspect fled the commercial unit prior to police perimeter setup.
