Mississauga Hotel Gunpoint Ambush: Peel Police Capture Final Fugitives in Targeted Derry Road Robbery Docket

MISSISSAUGA — A multi-month armed robbery investigation into a gunpoint ambush inside a Mississauga commercial hotel has ended with the capture of two final fugitives evading arrest across provincial corridors.

The file, unsealed by the Peel Regional Police 12 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau (CIB), details a coordinated pre-dawn robbery at a commercial hotel along the Hurontario Street and Derry Road corridor, where an adult male victim was held at gunpoint and assaulted before tactical officers recovered a loaded firearm.

The Hurontario & Derry Road Hotel Ambush

The incident unfolded shortly before 3:30 a.m. on March 7, 2026. Emergency dispatch operators received frantic calls reporting an active armed robbery inside a hotel suite in the Hurontario Street and Derry Road sector.

According to sworn police dockets, three armed suspects confronted the adult male victim inside his room, pulling a firearm, physically assaulting him, and stealing cash and valuables before fleeing the scene. 12 Division officers arrived, secured the floor, and executed a search warrant on the suite, which led directly to the recovery of a handgun deployed during the assault.

Tactical Intercept Closes File

While 33-year-old Abdoulkader Abdi of Toronto was processed into custody shortly after the initial robbery, 12 Division CIB operators tracked co-conspirators Latef Tag El Din (30) of Calgary and Kimberly MacIntyre (28) of Mississauga. Both were cornered, disarmed, and remanded into judicial custody on Thursday ahead of court proceedings at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton.
