Quebec Police Unveil Major Organized Crime Crackdown
Coordinated ENRICO-Quebec operation targets Hells Angels networks across multiple provinces
QUEBEC — In one of the most significant organized-crime enforcement actions in recent months, multiple coordinated police operations across the province of Quebec resulted in a wave of arrests Wednesday morning linked to drug trafficking, weapons offences and other criminal activity tied to outlaw biker networks. The actions were led by ENRICO-Quebec, a multi-agency task force dedicated to combating organized crime, working in partnership with the Sûreté du Québec (SQ) and several municipal police departments, including Longueuil, Mirabel, Lévis and Quebec City forces. The operation is part of a long-running 2024 investigation targeting individuals believed to operate under the aegis of the Quebec chapter of the Hells Angels Motorcycle Club, as well as affiliated criminal networks spread throughout the province.
According to an ENRICO-Quebec press release, arrests were executed across several regions, including Montérégie, the Laurentians, Bas-Saint-Laurent, Chaudière-Appalaches and the Quebec City region. Authorities did not immediately disclose the total number of suspects taken into custody, but several individuals are expected to appear in court later Wednesday to face charges related to drug trafficking, illegal weapons possession and stolen property offences. ENRICO-Quebec officials say the enforcement activities carried out Wednesday morning tie directly to earlier raids conducted in February, May and December 2025, all aimed at dismantling criminal infrastructure linked to drug distribution and violent profit-driven activity.
Another SQ-related report noted that roughly 50 officers from different law enforcement units were mobilized in a simultaneous sweep targeting a structured Hells Angels-linked network whose activities extended into the Capitale-Nationale, Chaudière-Appalaches, Bas-Saint-Laurent, Laurentides and Montérégie regions. This operation also spanned multiple months of investigation and follow-up searches. Police allege that the networks targeted in the operation were deeply involved in the trafficking of illegal drugs, including narcotics and synthetic substances, as well as the possession and distribution of firearms. Though not all suspects’ identities have been released, provincial law enforcement emphasized that the arrests represent a significant disruption to organized crime activity in Quebec.
- Drug trafficking (narcotics and synthetic substances)
- Illegal weapons possession
- Firearms distribution
- Stolen property offences
- Organized criminal activity
Investigators say the scope of the arrests reflects the multi-regional reach of the criminal network and the long-term intelligence work required to take coordinated action across several jurisdictions. This extensive police effort underlines ongoing concerns that outlaw motorcycle clubs and allied criminal groups continue to operate within Quebec’s drug and weapons markets, often crossing municipal boundaries to evade detection. Officials have indicated that additional information and a full summary of charges might be released in the coming days as court filings are finalized and further investigative steps are taken.
“The networks targeted in the operation were deeply involved in the trafficking of illegal drugs, including narcotics and synthetic substances, as well as the possession and distribution of firearms.”
Authorities also reiterated a call for confidential tips from the public related to drug trafficking, firearm offences and stolen property, providing the SQ criminal information line for anyone with knowledge of ongoing or related cases.
