According to a police news release issued Saturday, officers located the wanted man around 11:20 p.m. on Friday while he was in a vehicle near Bathurst Street and Dupont Street. He was taken into custody without incident.

Investigators say they also seized a firearm and ammunition from the vehicle. The accused is now facing multiple firearm-related charges, including illegal possession, in addition to the outstanding parole warrant.

Police say the man was wanted for breaching parole and had been listed on the BOLO Program’s “Canada’s 25 Most Wanted”, a campaign that highlights high-risk fugitives and appeals to the public for tips.

In August 2024, the Ontario Provincial Police issued a public plea on social media for help locating him. At that time, he was serving a sentence of five years, five months and ten days for discharging a firearm with intent and robbery with an illegal firearm.
