The Shooting on Boulevard Martel
Police were notified at about 1 a.m. on Saturday, October 31, that a man had been hit by a bullet in a private yard on boulevard Martel in Saint-Honoré. Noovo Info, carrying La Presse Canadienne, reports that the Sûreté du Québec places the shooting in the backyard of the man’s own residence; other regional outlets place it outside the home.
The man was taken to hospital, where, in the words of Noovo Info, his life is not feared to be at risk. CKAJ and Le Lac-St-Jean describe him as a man in his forties.
What the Sûreté du Québec Said
Sergeant Marc Tessier, a spokesperson for the force, said the suspect or suspects fled after the shooting.
