The RCMP says Khushwinder Singh Gill, 47, is charged with four counts under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act. The force alleges that Gill, the driver of a commercial truck and trailer, attempted to cross the border with 52 brick-shaped packages of suspected controlled drugs in two duffle bags, which Canada Border Services Agency officers at the Abbotsford-Huntingdon Port of Entry in British Columbia intercepted during a search on October 22, 2025. The RCMP says Gill was subsequently arrested by its Federal Policing Pacific Region Drugs and Organized Crime Group 6, and that charges were approved in BC Provincial Court on October 19, 2026. The release does not break down how much of the seizure was cocaine and how much was heroin, and does not give a next court date.
