The Saskatchewan RCMP say the five units that make up its Saskatchewan Enforcement Response Teams made 46 arrests in September, laid 39 charges, executed 44 warrant arrests and facilitated 11 search warrants, and seized seven firearms, 773 grams of cocaine and 30 grams of methamphetamine. The figures were reported on Friday, October 16, 2026 by 620 CKRM and on Saturday, October 17 by the Meridian Source. No one arrested in September is named. The force does not identify any gang or criminal organization in connection with the month’s results.
The Five Teams Inside SERT
The Saskatchewan Enforcement Response Teams, abbreviated SERT, combine resources from five units: the Crime Reduction Teams, the Human Trafficking and Counter Exploitation Unit, the Offender Management Unit, the Saskatchewan Trafficking Response Teams and the Warrant Enforcement and Suppression Teams. The Meridian Source describes the teams’ primary focus as disrupting gang activity, drug trafficking and violent crime.
Superintendent Andrew Farquhar of the Saskatchewan Enforcement Response Team is quoted, in a release as 620 CKRM reports it, saying: “These results demonstrate the impact of focused, intelligence-led enforcement across Saskatchewan.” Neither outlet gives a breakdown of the 46 arrests by team.
One of Several September Files the Force Highlights
Among the examples the force highlights, on September 9 the Lloydminster Saskatchewan Trafficking Response Team executed a search warrant at a Lloydminster residence. Officers seized approximately 41 grams of cocaine, 19 grams of methamphetamine, two firearms, ammunition and drug trafficking paraphernalia, and a man was arrested and charged. The 620 CKRM roundup also cites a September 16 arrest in Yorkton in which officers seized 701 grams of cocaine, 85 pills of unknown composition, cash and drug trafficking paraphernalia; a four-day proactive initiative in the Battlefords area from September 9 to 12; and a September 17 Prince Albert Crime Reduction Unit investigation in which 12 individuals were arrested and six firearms and 28 grams of cocaine were seized. The man arrested in Lloydminster is not named in the September roundup, and neither firearm is described.
